Need some peace at Christmas?

Recently I had planned to visit lots of Christmas fairs and so on in Co Wicklow but as it happened, when the day dawned I was more in need of some peace and quiet. My favourite place of tranquility in Wicklow Town are the Murrough Lakes. That’s where I went on the day in question and it truly lifted my spirits. I highly recommend it to chill out and get “away from it all” for a while.

To get there you just walk along the coast at the Murrpugh in Wicklow Town and eventually (10 mins) you see a gate across the train tracks to your left. go through and follow the path/trail for 1 min. then your at the lakes. Images of that day below.
