Ramada Hotel Bray, Three Qs, Mermaid Arts Centre

Just a brief note as promised to tell you all how the David O Doherty gig was at Mermaid Arts Centre Bray last weekend- in short it was great (although I was a teeny bit chilly ) and he (DOD) did mention how one must be careful about telling young kids that they’re heading to the mermaid next week – his neice was Sooo excited because she thought she was actually going to see a real live Mermaid!!
for all the latest in rts and events at mermaid check out their website here >>>

The Ramada Hotel rooms were very tastefully decorated in reds ( am sooo glad to leave florals behind!) and the staff were very pleasant plus it was no hassle at all to get a taxi straight away! the cost was only €69 for the room excludign breakfast so check out their website here for other great offers: www.ramadabray.com

The following morning we headed out to the Three Q’s restaurant in greystones where the lovely Quinn Brothers serve up a mouthwatering menu for brunch – they also do Lunch and Dinner with Early bird – for details contact them on Tel:+353 (0)1 287 5477.. Absolutely DIVINE!

Here’s a lovely email which gives a nice personal feel not to mention exact directions on how to make the most from enjoying a Saturday walk whether you live in Dublin or Wicklow! Thanks Vera,

Incidentally Vera was on to us looking for information on a new book launched recently that was mentioned ion RTE – details of which are below for anyoneelse who was interested…

As avid walkers and lovers of the Wicklow Way my husband and I have a particular love of Newcastle, as the beach walk has been one of our most regular walks for nearly 30 years now.  We started going to Kilcoole beach when the children were small and progressed to Newcastle from there.

Approximately once a month, weather allowing, on a Saturday, we get the 84 from city to the terminus and walk down Sea Road to begin our walk back to Greystones, or Bray.  To be walking down Sea Road on a bright sunny morning is absolute heaven to us.  Its a world away from the city, and one can get there so quickly – we travel by bus from Drimnagh in less than 90 minutes.

We have brought relatives and friends with us also down through the years but mostly its just the two of us wandering along just soaking up the beauty of nature in this wonderful place.

Well Shake my mulley boots!

We are very very pleased to see a link to us from the blog guru Damien Mulley who has added us to his fluffy links page there on friday. www.mulley.net/

Damien offers a lot of blogging knowledge, tips and web marketing ideas including how to get a girlfriend using google!

His tongue in cheek and sometimes rude approach (warning – reading the above link MAY offend the mild mannered) is nicely refreshing in an otherwise ‘dangerously bordering on boredom’ online web industry. You know the kind- forums that you cant say anything on really without getting a slap!

Having said that I will (virtually) ’slap’ anyone who writes rude stuff on our forums ( ah see the rules!)

Anyway thank you Mr Mulley. p.s Wicklow Businesses would do well to submit to his rss feed or check out his site here or on our linklove below
