September Wicklow news

Apologies to all for the last week- our broadband was dead as a doornail and thank heavens its now sorted!! so back to news in wicklow:

First up is the wicklow way walk with hilltop treks happening next weekend and the weekend after.

Yours truly will be attending this event (though poor little skippy doesnt seem to have it in him anymore-  short walks is all he can manage since his broken leg poor thing),  writing it up to give those planning to do it themselves a better idea of the walk from the amateur walkers’ point of view ( that’s me heh heh)

Walk part of The Wicklow Way in September with HilltopTreks.

Starting weekend 19th/20th.
The Wicklow Way takes a North to South direction right through the whole County of Wicklow and manages to cover wonderful parts of the County that are very suited for walkers.

The Trail does not cover very high ground and goes around rather than over most the mountains along it’s path.

The highest point on the Wicklow Way is White Hill which is just 635m. The length of The Wicklow Way is 128km and is broken into many stages .

The walk is broken up into stages over 2 days Sat and Sun in Sept. 19th/20th and 26th/27th

Over these 2 weekends or 4 days we will be walking from Marlay Park to Glenmalure.

The price for 1 day is just €25 or €35 with pickup from Dublin.
The two day with accommodation and your luggage forwarded is just €85.
All Welcome.
