Enjoy Dinner Bed and Breakfast in Enniskerry

Powerscourt Arms Country House is a well known and familiar building sitting on the corner of Enniskerry Village opposite the clock tower. This charming building dates from 1715 which gives it a lot of unique characteristics and is under new management since last year.

The new management at Powerscourt Arms Country House have been very busy focusing on the Food and dining side of the business and to this end they have managed to create an informal, relaxed and welcoming but professional dining experience.

The lounge offers a good choice menu throughout the day and the lovely Bistro Restaurant provides an intimate but relaxed dining experience.

Indeed myself and a friend ate there on Saturday night and the whole experience was lovely.

First, the lovely Neil led us to the pre-dinner room for a drink by the fire in the lovely ornate surroundings while we perused the menu – this gave us a great feeling of anticipation and made the meal an event in itself!

Then we were escorted into the dining room (The Bistro Restaurant) which caters for approx 36 guests making it lovely and intimate but not too quiet either.

With nice background music playing and a glowing fire we relaxed over a truly gorgeous meal of Seabass (my friend had) and Roast Duckling (I had)- and anyone who knows me knows I am a serious foodie and hard to please but this was GORGEOUS!!

The wine choice was great and the staff attentive without being over bearing. The lounge had entertainment in the form of live music which seemed to be going down well with the locals and guests alike.

The rooms are all en suite and I can honestly vouch for the comfort of the mattresses!

This little gem is one to keep an eye on as their new management brings more ideas to the ‘table’ and is the perfect break for the outdoor lover who also enjoys a good meal!
