Greystones Peas & Pods Family Market

Greystones unveiling of the Peas + Pods Family Market takes place tomorrow Sunday 29th May – and the excitement is mounting!!

We are so thrilled with the reaction Peas + Pods is getting from Greystones!

The stall applications keep on coming!

GLTC is located just off the Mill Road only 15 minutes walk from the town centre. There is plenty of parking for those coming from further afield.

It is a fantastic venue, with two spacious halls, one at entrance level and one on the first floor. Also on the first floor is a bright and airy cafe/lounge, with 180 degree views overlooking the lawn tennis courts.

This cafe accesses an outdoor terrace… the perfect spot to sit in the sun with a pot of tea and a cake from one of the stalls!

New Farmers Market at The Beehive N11

Local Market with Local Producers

Great news for market lovers! Amazingly I was just thinking the other night how the car park at the Beehive Pub would be ideal for a farmers market especially as it is easily seen by travellers on the N11 travelling to and from Dublin and Wexford!

And Lo and behold! here it is:

Farmers Market at The Beehive Every saturday 10am – 2pm

A local market with local producers

The market intends to keep to the original ethos of farmers markets having direct contact between the producer and customer and keeping money int he local economy.  the market has fresh vegetables, plants, eggs, baked goods and crafts all produced by local businesses.

Stalls are still available at very competitive rates, with a number of trading options on offer to locally produced goods.

Anyone interested in buying or selling can contact Renee via 086 8809340 Email: reneesheane@hotmail.com or Rowley via 086 8900926 Email: rpjones@eircom.net

So if you fancy a trip to a country market just a short drive from Dublin with comfortable surrounding ( toilets, bar and seating etc) then pop into the beehive market this Saturday and support local initiative. Well done guys!

Kids – Like Rockets, Swoon over Space?

Art / Space Fun Affordable drawing workshops for Summer Projects.I provide paper , pastels , hand wipes, and all equipment.

Deadly Moons – Internationally Acclaimed Art / Astronomy Workshop Deadly Moons is a one hour interactive art/science workshop. I show the children 10 unusual moons from our solar system. I teach them some facts about these worlds and use language they would understand. Then the children vote on which is the deadliest moon, then they draw that moon.
In doing this they learn that there are other moons, they learn how these moons are similiar to ours but different. This activity helps to strengthen their observing skills which is both a science and art practice. Deadly Moons teaches a little bit about our moon , and the other exotic moons in our solar system. We learn about moon phases, busy moons , quite moons , moon exploration and moon terminology . We have fun with moons and create our choices on black paper with soft pastels in vivid colors. Ideally suits Age 7- 12 years up to 50 children.

Rapid Rockets and Wicked Robots Talk /WorkshopRapid Rockets and Wicked Robots is a drawing workshop that teaches children about the rockets and robots used in exploring our solar system.

We take a look at a selection of space vehicles such as Sputnik, Apollo, Mars Rovers, Hubble, Solar Dynamics Observatory , and the Space Shuttle. We choose the space vehicle we want to draw then we produce lovely drawings on black paper with soft pastels in vivid colors . Ideally suits Age 7 – 12 years up to 50 children
